ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / PARALEGAL- LEGAL DEPARTMENT

The City of Goshen Legal Department is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to provide a diverse range of administrative and clerical support for the Legal Department staff. This position will draft, prepare and/review documents and correspondence with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and maintain a project management system for legal department staff, including monitoring workloads.
Rate of pay:
Grade 9 (starts at $21.08/hr, as designated by current salary ordinance).
Grade 11 if the candidate is a paralegal (starts at $22.73/hr)

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT- CEMETERY DEPARTMENT

The City of Goshen Cemetery Department is seeking a full time Operations Assistant. Essential duties and responsibilities include assisting the director and assistant director in supervising, planning and coordinating the work of individuals/crew engaged in maintenance, repair and construction of City cemetery property. OPERATIONS ASSISTANT- GOSHEN CITY COURT

The Goshen City Court is seeking a part time Operations Assistant. Essential duties and responsibilities include assisting defendants, attorneys, court staff, bailiff and judge in basic operation of court procedures. POLICE DEPARTMENT 2023 HIRING POOL

December 20, 2022. The Goshen Police Department will begin accepting applications for full-time Police Officers and Reserve Police Officers for the 2023 hiring pool.

Benefits include:

  • 2023 starting probationary salary of $55,400 and starting patrol salary of $60,000
  • $1500 clothing allowance
  • Technical pay up to $1600
  • PERF retirement fund
  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • Longevity pay of up to $5800 at 20 years
  • Residency bonus
  • Holiday pay (this is in addition to the base pay)
  • Sign on bonus for ILEA lateral transfers ($2000 when hired, $2000 at completion of 2 years and $4000 at completion of 5 years)

ASSET MANAGER - ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

The City of Goshen Engineering Department is seeking an asset manager, which establishes and manages the City of Goshen’s Asset Management Program for all City assets; the program goal is to use data to make informed decisions related to maintenance and replacement of critical and expensive infrastructure to optimize performance, minimize costs, and make appropriate investments to meet all current and future needs. Rate of pay is up to $31.74 as designated by current salary ordinance.
