Sign up to lead the Pledge of Allegiance
Goshen Mayor Gina Leichty and the Goshen City Council welcomes young residents to open a meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. All parents or guardians need to do is complete the pledge form below. Students, scout troops, and youth groups are all encouraged to participate. We aim to make the moment simple, respectful, and memorable.
Our young participants will receive a goodie bag from the Mayor. Participants are welcome to leave after the pledge if they prefer.
When does the City Council meet?
City Council typically meets the fourth Monday of each month with a few exceptions. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. inside Council Chambers of the Police and Courts Building at 111 E. Jefferson St. We ask pledge leaders and families to arrive by 5:45 p.m.
How It Works
City staff will confirm your date and send brief instructions before the meeting. Staff will guide you to the front of the room when the meeting begins.
The Pledge of Allegiance
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
