The regular meetings of the Downtown Goshen Economic Improvement District Board will take place on the first Thursday of each month, excepting July, as set forth in the schedule below. The meetings will be held in the conference room located in Goshen City Hall at 202 South 5th Street, Goshen, Indiana. All meetings of the Goshen Downtown Economic Improvement District Board are open to the public with the exception of an executive session that may be held as authorized by Indiana Code ยง5-14-1.5-6.1. The Board may schedule meetings in addition to those listed above as necessary, subject to public notice requirements.

Memorials/Adoptions

The City of Goshen Parks and Recreation Department offers a Memorial Program that provides a wonderful addition to parks and trails throughout the city. Sponsors may purchase a memorial bench or tree that will be placed at their suggested location in one of Goshen's City Parks! Sponsors may also adopt an already existing bench or tree currently in the city parks! Purchased Memorials will include a 5 x 9 plaque with the sponsors name and logo! To purchase or adopt a memorial please fill out the Memorial Bench and Tree Application. Please contact Kimberlee at 574-534-2901 for more information!

Sponsor a Child

Sponsor a child to enable him or her to be introduced to a new activity or to expand their existing interests. Make a difference in someone’s life and build brighter futures in our community!

Volunteer

Have talent, time or enthusiasm? Share it with the community! Work, play and give back all at the same time. Many volunteer opportunities are available through the Parks Department, including tree planting, gardening, and assisting with special events and sports programs. Dedication Program

Are you interested in making a positive contribution to the Goshen Parks that would be appreciated by many people for generations to come? Donations and dedications of trees, plants, flowers, park benches and picnic tables are all welcomed for the Goshen parks. Goshen Parks Department staff provides planting and perpetual care or replacement of plants. Fees cover the cost of the contribution and plaques. Please contact the Goshen Parks Department, for available species and current prices, at 534-2901.


Adopt-A-Park

Help us keep our parks beautiful! Individuals, families, clubs and businesses are encouraged to participate in Goshen Parks & Recreation Department sponsorships. Adopt-A-Park and help with maintenance, litter pickup and plant preservation. For more information, contact the Goshen Parks Department at 534-2901.


Vandalism 

Vandalism in our parks can be a concern, as well as have a negative impact on our budget. It isn’t possible for us to be in the parks at all times, so a few extra “eyes” to notify us about vandalism is very helpful. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
