Sports Programs

Coaching

Youth Basketball- the Role of Volunteer Coaches in the Youth Basketball Program include running practices, helping communicate with parents, coaching during games.

Youth Soccer- the Role of Volunteer Coaches in the Youth Soccer Program include running practices, helping communicate with parents, coaching during games. Youth Coaches for the 4 – 5 Year old league will be officiating the games.

Officiating

Youth Basketball- Under the direction of the League Director, the Youth Basketball Referee is responsible for enforcing the rules, ensuring games start on time, and providing a safe and positive environment for participants. Remember this is for the youth so we make it a safe and fun place to play and remember the kids are still learning.

Youth Soccer- Under the direction of the League Director, the Youth Soccer Referee is responsible for enforcing the rules, ensuring games start on time, and providing a safe and positive environment for participants. Remember this is for the youth so we make it a safe and fun place to play and remember the kids are still learning

Adult Softball

Volunteers help with field grooming and field preparation. Field grooming includes weed removal, blowing off concrete, and pebble removal. Field preparation includes raking under bases, raking pitcher’s mound, filling in batters boxes, and weed removal.

Adult Volleyball

Volunteers help with court maintenance. Court maintenance includes raking out the volleyball courts and pulling weeds from courts.


SPECIAL EVENTS

Daddy Daughter Dance

Volunteer opportunities include helping with supervising the event, food preparation, setting up and cleaning up.

Mother Son Dance

Volunteer opportunities include helping with supervising the event, food preparation, setting up and cleaning up.

Kids’ & Teens’ Triathlon

Volunteers can help in the following areas:

  • Course Marshals to tell people where to turn and monitor cyclists
  • Transition Area– setting up bike racks and directing athletes
  • Start/Finish Line– handing out water, awards and monitoring laps

 

Adult Triathlon

Volunteers can help in the following areas:

  • Course Marshals to tell people where to turn and monitor cyclists
  • Registration staff to check people in
  • Body Marking– so we can identify the athletes
  • Transition Area– setting up bike racks and directing athletes
  • Start/Finish Line– handing out water, awards and monitoring laps

 

 

Fishing Derby

Volunteers will help with removing fish and measuring them.

 

 

 

Spring Ballet Concert

Volunteer’s opportunities include stage prep, handing out program guides, and selling of event tickets.  


PARK MAINTENANCE

Landscaping

Volunteer opportunities include removal of weeds, flower planting, mulch spreading, and weed eating around various parks.

 

Greenhouse

Volunteer opportunities include planting and watering of the greenhouse.

 

Park Clean Up

Volunteer opportunities include picking up trash, painting, and brush removal at various park locations.
