About Us

The Central Garage has 8 full time employees who repair and maintain a fleet of vehicles and equipment, which, at this point, consists of 199 vehicles and 344 pieces of equipment.  This consists of everything from first response vehicles (patrol vehicles, fire trucks and medic units) and other equipment consisting of sewer trucks, street sweepers, loaders and all other units used by city departments. We also schedule and track all warranty work performed by associated dealers or manufactures and coordinate preventive maintenance work, up-fit first response units and writes specifications for any new or used vehicles or equipment to ensure the proper needs are met for the job. The Central Garage also contracts and tracks gas/fuel usage by all vehicles/equipment to insure they are performing at their most efficient capabilities.
