The outdoor water system at Violett draws water from the river through an old pump house.
Though staff do consistent maintenance and repairs, a pump has gone out. The Cemeteries staff is working with City utilities, but the full repairs will not be completed by Memorial Day.
If you are visiting and need access to water, please use the hand pump west of the cemetery maintenance building anytime.
The outdoor spigots are on through a temporary connection 7a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays while the staff is on the grounds.
