INTERURBAN TROLLEY ACCESS SERVICE INTRODUCES 10-RIDE PUNCH CARD

The Interurban Trolley is introducing a 10-Ride Punch Card for use on the Interurban Trolley Access Service. This service provides public transportation to disabled persons unable to use the Interurban Trolley fixed-route buses. The Interurban Trolley Access Service provides a way for persons whose physical or mental disabilities prevent them from using the Interurban Trolley bus to travel in Elkhart and Goshen. Fully wheelchair accessible, low-floor minivans equipped with side-entry ramps are utilized to provide easy ambulatory access.

These 10-Ride Punch Cards will be available starting on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. The cost of the 10-Ride Punch Card is $20. Riders can purchase punch cards online at www.interurbantrolley.com. Additionally, they can purchase the passes in-person at the following Martin’s Supermarket Stores in Elkhart and Goshen:

  • Martin’s Supermarket at 1200 N Nappanee St in Elkhart
  • Martin’s Supermarket at 120 Sanford School Rd E in Elkhart

  • Martin’s Supermarket at 201 Concord Mall Dr. in Elkhart

James Turnwald, Executive Director of the Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG), said “Our office has had numerous requests from riders to have a multi-ride option on the Access Service. We strive to provide reliable, public transportation that is responsive to the needs of the community and our riders. That is why we are pleased to introduce this great new option!”
