The Parks & Recreation maintenance staff will be lowering the Mill Race 1–2’ this afternoon. There is a large tree limb lodged in the tailgate mechanism that can’t be pushed through, nor can it be pulled back without relieving the downstream pressure on the limb.
The water level should be lowered enough to remove the limb by early Friday morning. Once removed the gates will be returned to the position to put the water back to where it is now. The water level may be back to its current level by Friday afternoon.
