2016 City Council Retreat

The City Council Retreat for 2016 will be held Thursday, April 14, from 1pm – 5pm. The location for the retreat has been moved from Council Chambers to the Schrock Pavilion (411 W. Plymouth Avenue – Shanklin Park).

The retreat is an opportunity for the Council to be updated by city departments on projects and operations. There will be no public comment accepted but the community is invited to come hear about what’s happening and what is upcoming for 2016.

SPRING LEAF AND BRUSH PICKUP

The Goshen Street Department will pick up leaves during the week of April 18th. The following Monday, April 25th, the Street Department will begin their brush pick up.

To ensure that your leaves and brush are collected, residents are to have all leaves and brush placed at front curb before said Monday at 7:00 am. Do not place brush in the street, in the alleys, or near a utility pole, tree or mailbox. Do not mix your brush and leaf piles. Do not leave trash in the brush piles such as used lumber.

For the rest of the summer season, brush collection will begin on the last Monday of the month from May through September. For clarification or questions, please call the Goshen Street Department at 534-9711.

ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER HOURS CHANGING FOR THE SUMMER.

Beginning Friday April 1 the Environmental Center will be open for business from 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday–Friday and 8 a.m.–noon on Saturdays; the Center is closed on Sundays and holidays.

The Center is located just west of the intersection of Indiana Avenue and County Road 19. The center accepts brush and leaves, which may be loose or in bags, at no charge to Goshen residents.

Shortened hours for the winter months will resume in December.
