Community Conversation: Brains, Braun, and the Bottom Line

Indiana’s Senate Enrolled Act 1 introduced sweeping changes to income and property taxes that are reshaping local budgets and community services. Elkhart County Councilor Steven Clark and Mayor Gina Leichty will unpack what these changes mean for Goshen, discuss which course corrections could be most helpful in the 2026 legislative session, and share what they’re hearing from the Statehouse. This bipartisan discussion welcomes perspectives from across the political spectrum, with local legislators invited to join as their schedules allow. Join us for a candid, engaging conversation about the future of local funding and community services. The one-hour event will feature brief presentations followed by a moderated Q&A session.
