Street Department
The Goshen Street Department keeps city streets safe, clean, and accessible year-round. Crews maintain more than 120 miles of roads and alleys, along with sidewalks, curbs, signage, and storm drains. They respond to potholes, plow snow, collect brush and leaves, and manage street sweeping.
Staff also support larger infrastructure needs like resurfacing and emergency street repairs. During winter weather, plow trucks operate around the clock to clear priority routes. In warmer months, crews collect yard debris, maintain signage, and prep roads for paving.
The department responds to resident concerns and works hard to keep Goshen moving.

Need Help With Brush? Reserve a Free City Trailer
The City offers a free brush trailer program year-round, weather permitting. The Street Department will decide if weather conditions prevent trailer delivery.
Homeowners can reserve a trailer to dispose of large amounts of brush from their own trimming work. This program is for residents only. Contractors and landscaping businesses may not use it.
Only brush is allowed. No trash, lumber, fencing, or landscaping timbers. If non-brush items are found, the homeowner will be charged for a Dial-A-Trailer.
Trailers are typically dropped off between 2–3 p.m. and picked up the next weekday morning after 7 a.m. Weekend reservations are delivered Friday afternoon and collected early Monday morning.
To schedule a trailer, call the Street Department at 574-534-9711.
