This year, youth racers will take part in age-appropriate muddy obstacle course challenges and fun activities designed to:

Fidler Pond’s Fantastic Fishing Derby

Calling all fishers! Bring your families, fishing poles and bait to Fidler Pond
Park to join us for our annual Fantastic Fishing Derby. Awards will be given to participants ages 3–17 for the first fish caught, the smallest fish caught, the largest fish caught and whatever else we can think of to award! No fishing license is required for this event.

When: June 6

Fee: $5 per person

Touch-a-Truck

Date: Saturday August 22

Time: 10am – 12noon

Location: Shanklin Park

Description: First hour is sensory free time. This event provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types in one place. Vehicle types may include public service, emergency, utility, construction, and just plain cool! Children will be allowed to touch, climb on and ask questions about their favorite vehicles in a safe, supervised environment. Accompanying personnel will teach the children about the vehicles and how they benefit us and our community. This event is free for all ages.

Senior Health Expo

Join Us September 12, 2026 at Pringle Park from 10am to 1pm for a Day of Fun & Fitness!

Activities You can try Include:

  • Pickleball
  • Volleyball
  • Drum Circle
  • Zumba
  • Walking & More!

Events for all abilities try what you are comfortable with!

After the Event:

  • Multiple community health businness and organziation will offer information, heatlh checks, and immunization information, housing, health insurance and much more.
  • Community Health Fair vendors are onsite the duration of the event. Come when you can!

Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk or Treat – Goshen Parks & Recreation When: Saturday, October 24, 2026• 2:00–4:00 PM Location: Shanklin Park • Free to the public Calling all families for food, fun, and trick-or-treating! See decorated trunks, fun costumes (optional but encouraged), and enjoy fall activities including a free Halloween movie playing during the event to enjoy while you visit one of our many food vendors before or after you Trunk or Treat. Vendor Call (Businesses, clubs, & community groups) We’re seeking 50+ vendors to help make Trunk or Treat magical! Come build community relationships, network and build your teams bonding. Bring candy or small trinkets to hand out. You may decorate a vehicle or table, and costumes are welcome (but not required). Food vendors needed as well. Letters to Santa

Drop your letters to Santa in the North Pole mailbox at the Goshen Public Library and Santa and his helpers will make sure you get a return letter sent right to your house! There is no postage necessary. Just be sure to include your full mailing address and print neatly! The mailbox will be located on the main floor in the library near the circulation desk from November 7 to December 5, 2026.
