GOSHEN, Ind. — Goshen kicks off spring cleaning season during Beautify Goshen Week from Saturday, May 3, through Saturday, May 10, 2025.
The Goshen Street Department facilitates the annual cleanup event, offering residents a free and convenient way to dispose of large items and unwanted materials. Staff will operate the drop-off site at 475 Steury Ave. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Saturdays. The site will close on Sunday, May 4.
Street Department crews will complete two rounds of brush and leaf pickup citywide during the same period.
“This event gives residents a great opportunity to clean up their properties and dispose of bulky items responsibly,” said Street Commissioner David Gibbs. “We see a strong turnout every year and appreciate everyone who takes part.”
Only Goshen residents may use this free service. Staff will check IDs at the drop-off site to verify residency. The City will not provide curbside pickup; participants must transport their items directly to the Street Department.
Crews will place hoppers for household items, appliances, electronics, TVs, and tires. Staff will monitor all drop-offs to ensure safe and proper disposal.
However, The City will not accept hazardous waste, including paint, chemicals, or pressurized containers, during Beautify Goshen Week. Elkhart County residents may visit the Elkhart County Landfill website at elkhartcountylandfill.com/hazardous-waste for information about proper disposal options.
