Beautify Goshen Spring Clean Week returns with free large-item disposal

Goshen kicks off spring cleaning season during Beautify Goshen Spring Clean Week from Saturday, May 3, through Saturday, May 10, 2025.

The Goshen Street Department facilitates the annual cleanup event, offering residents a free and convenient way to dispose of large items and unwanted materials. Staff will operate the drop-off site at 475 Steury Ave. from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Saturdays. The site will close on Sunday, May 4.

The Goshen Fire Department welcomed four new firefighters Wednesday, April 2, 2025, during a ceremony in the main auditorium of the Goshen Theater downtown. The event marked the graduation of the latest class from the department’s 20-week Recruit Academy.

“These recruits chose a path that requires courage, clarity, and care,” Mayor Gina Leichty said during her welcome address. “They join a team that serves Goshen with dedication and heart.”
