Photos: Goshen Police Honor Guard Camp Builds Skill and Respect
The 2025 Goshen Police Department Honor Guard Camp, held Sept. 29–Oct. 3 at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds, brought together officers from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. Participants trained in precision movements, flag etiquette, and funeral protocols under the camp’s guiding motto: “Temper the Grief with Awe.”
Goshen firefighters honored with lifesaving awards for heroic efforts
A full City Council chamber applauded Monday, Aug. 25, as Goshen firefighters received Lifesaving Awards for reviving men in separate cardiac arrest emergencies.
Those honored include Division Chief Michael Hamby, paramedics Hannah Estes, Jonathan Weishaupt, Shane McKerchie, Jerod Erb and EMT Jordan Hunter.
