Reliance Road Reconstruction Continues with Roundabout and Stormwater Upgrades

GOSHEN, Ind. — Construction crews are continuing work on Reliance Road near the new Elkhart County Courthouse as part of a major infrastructure project scheduled through July 15.

The resulting road closure, which began April 1, runs from the courthouse’s south entrance to the Peddlers Village intersection.

Phase 2 of the Reliance Road Reconstruction Project includes a new asphalt roadway, a modern stormwater system, and a roundabout. Contractor Niblock is leading the work.

Access remains open to all residents, businesses, and the fire station within the closure zone.

Traffic control signs and barriers are in place to protect drivers and minimize disruptions during construction.

Will the sidewalk along Reliane Road be open at all to access the newly completed bike overpass? Perhaps a bike detrour route will be available?
