Indiana Avenue Recycling Center closed for road work

GOSHEN, Ind. — The Indiana Avenue Recycling Center closed today, June 3, and will remain closed through Monday, June 9, due to nearby road construction.

Niblock Excavating began street repairs earlier this week. Barricades on Indiana Avenue prevent the city’s recycling vendor from entering the site.

The temporary closure affects all drop-off services at 802 N. Indiana Ave. The City expects to reopen the site by Monday.

Normal operating hours at the Indiana Avenue Recycling Center are:

  • Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon.
  • Closed Sunday

What does the Recycling Center accept?

The center accepts clean, sorted recyclables. Approved materials include paper, cardboard, plastics #1 and #2, metal cans, and glass bottles.

Do not leave items outside the bins while the center is closed. Unattended waste creates safety and environmental issues.
