GOSHEN, Ind. — The City of Goshen is permanently closing the Goshen Recycling Center at 802 N. Indiana Ave. after continual misuse and growing financial challenges.
City officials suspended operations at the facility in July after improper use and illegal dumping routinely overextended staff. Budget restraints tied to Indiana Senate Enrolled Act 1 also influenced the decision for permanent closure.
The City remains sympathetic to those who used the center responsibly. It also thanks Elkhart County elected officials, City staff and Republic Services for their support in operating the facility. However, City leaders determined that closing the center is the most fiscally responsible decision at this time.
Despite the closure, the following curbside and drop-off options remain available to Goshen and Elkhart County residents:

- Within City Limits: The City-provided service will continue as usual through Borden Waste-Away.
