Extra Brush Pickup in Goshen Begins Week of Nov. 24

GOSHEN, Ind. – The City of Goshen Street Department will conduct an extra brush pickup beginning the week of Nov. 24 following the early heavy snow event earlier this month.

Crews will make one pass through the city. Residents should place brush at the curb before 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24. Piles must be separate from leaves and must not exceed 5 feet high, 5 feet deep and 10 feet long. No alley pickup will occur and contractor-generated debris will not be collected.

Leaf collection continues during this period. Some areas may be skipped temporarily while Leaf Vac trucks dump full loads, but all routes will be completed before the final sweep. The schedule for the final round will be announced after the Thanksgiving holiday.

For residents who need an alternative to curbside pickup, the brush trailer remains available. Reservations may be made Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., by calling the Street Department at 574-534-9711.
