THE MAPLE CITY BIKE TO WORK WEEK

Mayor Jeremy Stutsman announces that May 23–27, is Bike to Work Week in the Maple City.

In conjunction with the League of American Bicyclists, the week is observed as a way to ask all citizens to consider bicycling to work, on a regular basis and especially during this week.

Bike to Work Week is also a reminder to motor vehicle drivers to be on the lookout for bicyclists. And to note that there will more people riding on our streets and the Maple City Greenway Bike and Pedestrian Path with the end of the school year and the beginning of summer and that everyone should use extra caution when encountering cyclists on our roadways.

Mayor Stutsman stated, “Bicycling is an environmentally sound form of transportation, excellent form of fitness, and a great family activity.”
