Due to a fire in East Goshen, a boil order is being issued. The Indiana Department of Environment Management requires the Water Utility to issue a boil water order for the affected area:
- ALL of East Goshen from 22nd Street east to the City limits
Water samples will be taken and analyzed for the presence of bacteria. If two consecutive tests pass, the boil order will be lifted. Notice of the boil order cancellation a notice will be posted in the Goshen News. City water within the affected area should not be consumed without first following prescribed boiling procedures. The water remains safe for bathing, laundry, and restroom facilities. Cleaning dishes with a dishwasher is acceptable if it has a sanitizing cycle. Hand washed dishes should be rinse with boiled or bottled water.

El agua sigue siendo seguro para el baño y lavadero. Lavar los platos con lavavajillas está bien si tiene un ciclo de desinfección. Lavar a mano los platos debe ser enjuagado con agua hervida o embotellada.
Le informaremos cuando las pruebas muestren que el agua es segura para beber y usted ya no tenga que hervir su agua. La notificación de la cancelación de la orden de hervir el agua será distribuida a través de un folleto y un aviso será publicado en las noticias de Goshen.
