The 2025 Goshen Police Department Honor Guard Camp, held Sept. 29–Oct. 3 at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds, brought together officers from Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. Participants trained in precision movements, flag etiquette, and funeral protocols under the camp’s guiding motto: “Temper the Grief with Awe.”
Throughout the week, teams refined ceremonial techniques rooted in honor and discipline. The top-scoring unit from the training concluded the camp by leading a full ceremonial tribute Oct. 3 at Brenneman Missionary Church, demonstrating the professionalism and respect the program instills.
