NIPSCO is relocating the electric utilities at River Race Drive for the River Art Development, and is needing an extra two weeks to complete the project. The closure of River Race Drive from Jefferson Street north to the east/west alley has been extended until Friday, December 21. more

Youth Sports

Youth Basketball Camp

This camp will launch participants into the sport of basketball. The camp is designed to introduce those new to the sport and to further participants’ understanding by instructing on a variety of basketball rules while also implementing new skills. This two-day camp is very helpful in preparing for youth basketball league play. The camp will take place at Waterford Elementary on January 12 and 19. The fee is $10.00 per participant. Times: Ages 6–7: 10:00 am –11:30 am | Ages 8–10: 12:00 pm –1:30 pm

Youth Basketball League

Sign up now for our Youth Basketball League! The league will run from January 26 through March 9. All games will be played on Saturdays with one weekday practice per week. The league is for ages 6-10. This is a recreational league based on effort, participation, sportsmanship and skill development. Volunteer coaches are needed for the program to be successful. The fee is $45.00 per participant.
