This updated map shows the various roads through which visitors can access the Elkhart County 4-H Fair this year. Note that the new US 33 bridge is now open to traffic. Madison Street will remain closed during fair week to all traffic with the exception of the parade. more

Sports Leagues

Youth Soccer Camp

This motivating four-day camp focuses on teaching soccer fundamentals, purpose, body balance, safety, directional movements, heading, goalie positioning, ball handling and sportsmanship. Our experienced instructors keep the ball rolling with this engaging program for boys and girls ages 4–9. Pre-registration is required at the Goshen Parks Office until June 9. 

Dates: June 18–21
Times: Ages 4–5 (9:00am-10:00am) Ages 6-9 (10:00am-11:00am)
Location: Shanklin Park
Fee: $30.00 per participant


Goshen Sharks Soccer League 

This is a recreational league that provides the area’s young people the opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport of soccer. Our program emphasizes good health, exercise and friendly competition. We promote the development of soccer skills, an understanding of the game and the enjoyment that comes from playing the world’s most popular sport—soccer. Volunteer coaches are needed to assist in the success of this program; please contact Tyler McLead at 574-537-3843. 

Practice: One weekday evening each week
Games: Played on Saturdays between 9:00am-1:00pm (times vary)
Season: August 6–September 29
Location: Pringle Park
Fee: $45 registration fee includes team T-shirt
Register: Now through July 20 at the Goshen Parks Office
Levels: Ages 4–5* | Ages 6–9*
Note: All age groups are co-ed

*Enrollment per level must reach 25


Youth Flag Football 

This co-ed program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action. The league is designed for experience and development in all aspects of football. Learn individual, sport-oriented skills, but also develop personally and socially, learning teamwork and building character and life skills through sports. This is a great introductory to JFL, and participants will learn many of the same plays. Registration is currently being accepted at the Goshen Parks Office through August 3 (or until full). League will begin the week of August 13. All of our coaches are volunteers; they are the backbone of our program. If you or someone you know is interested in coaching, or would like further information about flag football, please contact Tyler McLead at 574-537-3843. All materials, plays, practice drills, rules and support are provided.

Divisions: Co-ed | 6–7 years* | 8–9 years*
*Divisions may be adjusted in light of registration numbers
Fee: $45
Practices: One weekday evening at Pringle Park
Games: Saturdays at Pringle Park
Season: Week of August 13–October 6
Equipment: Team jersey and mouthpiece will be supplied


Adult Summer Softball League- Men's Slow Pitch 

Officiated and USA Softball-sanctioned league with league rule variations. Doubleheader format and a single-elimination tournament will follow regular season play. Awards are given to the top two tournament champions in each division. Standings are kept throughout the season and posted to the league website: www.leaguelineup.com/gprdsoftball. Evenings of play are Mondays (C League), Tuesdays (A and C Leagues), Wednesdays (rain make-up games), Thursdays (B League) and Fridays (league type to be determined based upon team registrations). Skill levels: A League is good to advanced players; B League is intermediate, moderate to highly skilled players; and C League is recreational, average to above-average players.

Season: April 23 through week of July 13 (dates dependent on weather)

Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball

Officiated league with a leisure division and a competitive division, six vs. six format. League plays at Pringle Park’s sand lots. Season concludes with a seeded single-elimination tournament, with awards given to top two tournament champions in each division. Standings are kept throughout the season and posted to league website: www.leaguelineup.com/gprdvolleyball. Indoor co-ed volleyball play begins in November; contact Frank for more information.
