Goshen’s International Women’s Day Luncheon brought the community together to honor women leading in healthcare, finance, public safety, and emergency response. The City of Goshen’s Community Relations Commission hosted the event on March 7, 2025, at Bread & Chocolate, highlighting perseverance, leadership, and progress under the theme “Breaking Barriers.”
Speakers Julia Chairez, Amy Sink, Tara Powell, and Hannah Estes shared how they broke barriers in their fields. Chairez emphasized patient education and preventative care. Sink discussed leadership and financial empowerment. Powell reflected on mentoring students and ensuring school safety. Estes described her journey as one of Goshen’s first female firefighters.
Mayor Gina Leichty praised the speakers for inspiring the next generation of leaders.
