NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORD. 4960

Ordinance 4960, Restrictions on Smoking and Use of E-Cigarettes, Vaping, was passed by the Goshen Common Council on September 4, 2018 and approved and adopted by Mayor Jeremy P. Stutsman on September 7, 2018.  In summary, Ordinance 4960 prohibits, with limited exceptions, smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes, vaporizers and vapor products in the following locations:  (A) an enclosed area of a structure in which the public is invited or permitted; (B) a place of employment; (C) a city park property and within city owned buildings and structures; (D) outdoor dining areas within the public right-of-way; outdoor seating areas of restaurants, bars and businesses, except benches and those seating areas restricted to individuals over the age of 18; and areas that are within 8 feet of where smoking is prohibited; and (E) the area within 8 feet of all outdoor public transportation stations, platforms and shelters.  Ordinance 4960 is available for inspection in its entirety during regular business hours at the Goshen Clerk-Treasurer’s Office located at 202 South Fifth Street, Goshen, Indiana.
