The intersection of Washington Street and Cottage Avenue is closed due to utilities work. The water and sewer department closed the intersection April 17 and the intersection will remain closed until May 6, 2020.
The sanitary sewer at the intersection of Washington Street and Cottage Avenue has a failure at or near the manhole structure that has developed a sinkhole and road settlement.
Because of the sewer’s depth and the anticipated extent of the surface repairs, closure of the intersection was requested through May 6 at the Board of Works meeting Monday, April 27.
