HELP REPORT GYPSY MOTH INFESTATION

The Goshen City Forester began tracking a Gypsy Moth infestation on Hackett Road the first week of June. Gypsy Moth eats many different plants, but it is fond of oak. This infestation has defoliated two large white oaks along Hackett Road.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) pays close attention to this invasive insect, and has been notified. While staff from the DNR will be visiting the site on Hackett later this week, the City asks residents to help track and report other potential infestation sites.
