America's Freedom Fest

Celebrate Independence Day at the Goshen Municipal Airport with this day-long celebration. This event includes a runway run, a twilight airshow, and a fireworks display. SCHEDULE: 8 a.m. – 5k walk/run at runway, 3 p.m. – Main gates open, 5 p.m. – Pull a Bomber competition, 7 p.m. – Airshow, 10 p.m. – FREE - fireworks display

Sports Leagues

Summer Softball League- Men's Slow Pitch 

The Park Office is now accepting team registrations for Summer 2017 Softball League! This is an officiated and ASA-sanctioned league with league rule variations. Doubleheader format and a single-elimination tournament will follow regular season play. Awards are given to top two tournament champions in each division. Standings are kept throughout the season and posted to the league website. Evenings of play are Mondays (C League), Tuesdays (A & C Leagues), Wednesdays (rain makeup games), Thursdays (B League) and Fridays (league type to be determined based upon team registrations). Skill levels: A League is good to advanced players; B League is intermediate, moderate to highly skilled players; and C League is recreational, average to above average players.

The season starts April 17 and continues through week of July 28 (dates are dependent upon weather and makeup games). Games are played at Shanklin Park. Team fee for Summer Softball League is $600. For more information, please contact Frank at the Park Department (574) 534-6723.

Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball

The Park Office is now accepting team registrations for 2017 Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball!  This is an officiated league with a leisure division and a competitive division, six vs. six format. League plays at Pringle Park’s sand lots. Season concludes with a seeded single-elimination tournament, with awards given to top two tournament champions in each division. Standings are kept throughout the season and posted to league website: www.leaguelineup.com/gprdvolleyball.

Indoor co-ed volleyball play begins in November; contact Frank for more information.
