Portion of Pike Street to close for US 33 Northern Connector project

On Monday, April 3rd, Rieth-Riley Construction will close Pike St. between Chicago Ave. and 2nd St. to begin phase 1 of the Pike St. widening work. Both Chicago Ave. and 2nd St. will remain open. Access to all businesses and residences will be maintained. A signed access route will be posted for access to the post office via 2nd St. Work will be phased appropriately to allow continued ADA accessible pedestrian access via Pike St.

Utility and demolition work has already occurred along this section. On April 3rd, Rieth-Riley Construction will begin tearing out the existing roadway. HRP construction will then begin storm, water main, and sanitary replacement. Work will conclude with the reconstruction of the roadway. Phase one work will take approx. 3 months to complete.

As the project progresses, the City will be issuing future notices.
