The City of Goshen will be lowering the Millrace Canal in order to perform bridge inspections. The bridge inspections are a part of routine inspections but have also been expanded to include any flood related damages to City maintained bridges.
The City maintains all pedestrian bridges and vehicular bridges that do not span more than 20 feet. The County maintains the vehicular bridges that span larger than 20 feet.
The inspections will be done Tuesday, March 6, and Wednesday, March 7. The millrace canal takes a few days to lower and then is gradually raised. Thank you for your cooperation as we do this important task.
